SHS Music Students Ready To Head To Florida

Sheldon high school 100_2191Sheldon, Iowa — Sheldon High School band and choir students, along with their instructors and chaperones, will be leaving for a once-in-a-lifetime week-long adventure of a trip to Florida.  The Sheldon High School music students make this trip once every four years, according to Band Director Cliff St. Clair.

St. Clair says the group will leave Sheldon on buses Wednesday afternoon, and arrive in Florida more than 20 hours later.

On Saturday, he says it will be the Choir’s turn to perform.

St. Clair said the group will enjoy a variety of things for the remainder of their time in Florida.

St. Clair told KIWA that, even the 20-plus hour bus rides each direction, really aren’t so bad.  He says it gives the instructors a chance to get to know their students better, and allows the students time to get to know each other, as well.
