Albert Lea, Minnesota — A Rock Rapids native who is the Sibley City Administrator is a finalist for a position in Albert Lea, Minnesota.
According to Teresa Kauffmann, the Public Information Coordinator for the City of Albert Lea, Glenn Anderson is among five finalists for the position of City Manager of Albert Lea — a community of 17,647, according to numbers from 2018. Albert Lea is at the crossroads of Interstates 90 and 35, about 115 miles east of Worthington.
According to his bio, Anderson currently serves as the City Administrator/Economic Development Director/Utility Superintendent for the City of Sibley, where he has been employed for six years. He is also employed with Lake Life Skills as a Program Assistant and is self-employed with High Point Consulting, LLC. Prior to this, he was the City Administrator/Economic Development Director for the City of Ackley, Iowa, where he worked for one year. He also served as the Economic Development Director for Lyon County, Iowa, for three years. Anderson holds a bachelor’s degree in Education/Social Sciences.
Anderson was up for a similar position about ten months ago in Kasson, Minnesota.
The other candidates are Bradley Hanson, the City Administrator of Mondovi, Wisconsin; Martin Moore, who most recently served as the City Manager for the City of Batavia, New York; Patrick Rigg, City Administrator of Evansville, Wisconsin; and James Thomas, who most recently served as the City Manager for the City of Claremore, Oklahoma.
