Sibley, Iowa — A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a Sibley Man on a felony charge Sunday in Sibley.
According to Osceola County authorities the incident began when a car driven by 26-year old Derek Leroy Bucher of Sibley was pulled over by an Osceola County Deputy in the 300 block of 11th Street in Sibley.
Deputies say that during that traffic stop they ascertained that Bucher was allegeldy driving in an impaired condition. Bucher was then reportedly placed under arrest for 3rd Offense Operating While Intoxicated, and transported to the Osceola County Jail in Sibley. Authorities say he was booked into the jail on a $5-thousand bond.
3rd Offense Operating While Intoxicated is a Class “D” Felony in Iowa.
