Sioux Automation to Sell Ag Line to Post Equipment

Sioux Center, Iowa — Sioux Automation Center, Inc. in Sioux Center, has sold their agriculture line of products, production, parts, sales, and service to Post Equipment Company LLC of Rock Valley. The transaction will be finalized December 28, 2023. All phone numbers and contacts will be transferred to Post Companies at that time.
“After 62 years of producing, selling, and servicing feed fixers, spreaders, roller mills, and baggers, we have made the decision to sell the ag line of our business so we can fully focus on Service Trucks International (STI) truck bodies and Tiger Cranes. We are happy that Post Equipment, with their many years of expertise in the ag business, will assume the “SAC” brand,” said Walt Van Laren, president of Sioux Automation Center, Inc. Van Laren added that existing customers can expect the same level of service as they received in the past.

Post Equipment Company LLC, which owns Ironwood 53 and Herd-Boss Feeders, has been in the ag business for many years. Mike Post, owner and president, commented, “The purchase of the Sioux Automation Center (SAC) ag line allows us to expand our footprint in the industry and offer more products and service than ever before. We intend to continue producing the OEM product lines here in the US through our manufacturing division Ironwood 53.” Post went on to say they hope to integrate some of the products into their Herd-Boss Feeders line.
“We are excited for this opportunity and look forward to continuing to provide the same high level of service to our customers – both new and old – for years to come.”

Sioux Automation Center, Inc. will be renamed Service Trucks International, Inc. The company will continue operations at its current facilities and will retain existing employees.
