Sioux Center, Iowa — Sibley isn’t the only town getting a new aquatic center next year. Sioux Center is in the middle of building an outdoor addition to their All Seasons Center as well.
Sioux Center City Manager Scott Wynja tells us where the idea came from.
He says that while other projects have been combination projects with Dordt College or Sioux Center Schools, this one is all the City of Sioux Center.
Wynja says construction started late spring, and with the weather, they were a little behind, but have now ramped up construction and things are looking good.
He tells us about the funding for the project, which is estimated to cost $6.5 million.
He highlights some of the things the Sioux Center All Seasons Center Outdoor Pools will have to offer.
Wynja says that with favorable weather, they hope to have the new facility done so it can be used during the summer season of 2019.
