Sioux County Democrats Elect New Officers

Sioux County, Iowa — The Sioux County Democrats conducted their Odd-Year Caucus and Biennial Organizational Meeting via Zoom this past week.

During the caucus, vacancies were filled on the Sioux County Democratic Central Committee. Five new members were added, bringing the committee to 18 people representing eight Sioux County precincts.

Participants reflected on the 2020 election and discussed a draft of organizational values to be further refined by the central committee.

At the biennial organizational meeting that followed, central committee members elected as officers: Anita Cirulis as chair, Elizabeth Holtrop as vice-chair, Jared Kaltwasser as treasurer, and Becky Drissell as secretary.

Three committee members will serve as representatives on Iowa’s Fourth District Democratic Central Committee: Jimmy Bouma-Holtrop, Jared Kaltwasser, and Jennifer Schon.
