Orange City, Iowa — A Sioux County Deputy Sheriff has been promoted to second-in-command.
New Sioux County Sheriff Nate Huizenga tells us he is pleased to announce the promotion of Lieutenant Justin De Bruin to Chief Deputy.
Chief De Bruin began his service with the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office in 2003 and has dedicated 23 years to serving the county in a variety of roles. The sheriff’s office says that throughout his career, De Bruin has worked as a jailer, patrol deputy, K9 handler with Sonny and Molly, sergeant, and, most recently, lieutenant.
Sheriff Huizenga says, “Justin has been an asset to the Sheriff’s Office over the past twenty-three years. His leadership, experience, and commitment to serving the people of Sioux County make him an excellent choice for Chief Deputy. I am confident he will continue to serve our office and our community with integrity and professionalism.”
