Orange City, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce that Deputy Martinez and his K-9 partner, Rocky have successfully passed the 2025 K-9 Narcotics Certification Trials held in West Des Moines.
This annual certification event brings together K-9 teams from across the state to test their skills in controlled, real-world scenarios; testing consisted of exterior vehicle sniffs and building searches, both essential components in narcotics detection work.
Sheriff Van Voorst said, “K-9 Rocky and Deputy Martinez continue to play a vital role in the Sheriff’s Office’s mission to combat illegal drug activity in Sioux County. Their dedication and performance ensure the safety and well-being of the communities they serve. We are privileged to have this team at the ready to further our public safety.”
