Sioux Fair Board Mulling Options For Future Fair Venue

Sioux Center, Iowa — Now that the Sioux County Fair is in the books for another year, fair organizers are thinking about the future of the fair.

With the new Sioux Center High School being built, and the former racetrack going toward that effort, there is some question about what will happen to the fair. Sioux County Fair Board President Craig De Haan says folks shouldn’t be concerned.

He says they had to change up some evening entertainment this year, coming up with replacements for the races and the tractor pull.

According to De Haan, they are working with partners to come up with a plan.

De Haan tells us that the central location in or around Sioux Center is probably the best, so that people from the corners don’t have to travel so far, but there are other options available as well.
