Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network Editor Talks Crop Conditions

Sheldon, Iowa — Each day you hear programming on KIWA from the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network. Their Supervising Editor, Dustin Hoffman stopped by the KIWA studios Monday afternoon, and sat down to talk with us about the state of agriculture in Iowa.

We asked Hoffman how the crops here in northwest Iowa compare to crops he’s seen elsewhere during his travels around the state.

He says crop conditions can vary, not just from mile to mile, but in many places from field to field.

We asked Hoffman if he could predict how this year’s late planting season will affect this fall’s harvest.

We asked him about some of the big ag-related stories the Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network is watching at the moment.

Hoffman says sixty Iowa radio stations, including KIWA, are Iowa Agribusiness Radio Network affiliates.
