Snow, Strong Winds, And Bitterly Cold Temperatures Take Aim On Northwest Iowa

Northwest Iowa — The National Weather Service tells us another winter storm will continue spreading across the region tonight, bringing snow, wind, and dangerously frigid temperatures.

Weather officials say confidence has increased in the northern track solution, so snowfall amounts have increased for the southeast corner of South Dakota and adjoining parts of Iowa, Minnesota, and Nebraska.

They say the highest amounts will be around Sioux City, Sheldon, and further southeast. The snow will be followed by strong winds and arctic air, which will create dangerous travel conditions late Friday and Saturday, due to blowing snow and life-threatening wind chills.
