Sheldon, Iowa — Nine to fourteen year olds from around the area took part in the Sheldon St. Patrick’s Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest at the Wansink Center on the campus of Village Northwest Unlimited Saturday.
In the Girls Division, 9-Year Old category, Lily Lerma finished 1st, with Theresa Nilles coming in 2nd, and Kaylee Youngstrom finishing 3rd.
10-Year Old Girls Division had no competitors taking part.
For 11-Year Old Girls, Addison Beckman took top honors.
There were no entries in the 12, 13, and 14-Year Old Girls Divisions.
On the boys side of things, 9-Year Old Division, Dirk Brink too 1st Place, followed by Derek Igou in 2nd, and Landen Mouw in 3rd.
10-Year Old Boys Division was won by Hunter Getting, with Tyson Getting finishing 2nd, and Braeden Mouw taking 3rd.
In the 11-Year Old Boys Division, Gavin Strouth finished 1st.
12-Year Old Boys Division found Teagen Sudbeck taking 1st, with Kevin Harris finishing 2nd.
In the Boys 13-Year Old Category, Blake Radke took top honors, with Damon Van Beek finishing 2nd, and Anthony Provost rounding out the Top Three.
In the Boys 14-Year Old Division, Braden Schwartz finished 1st.
