George, Iowa — Human trafficking is a growing concern, worldwide. Tabernacle Baptist Church of George is hosting a Stop Human Trafficking Workshop this Sunday night, November 20th.
The workshop, which will be presented by the Kadesh Foundation’s Craig Johnson, is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. He says the informative workshop will focus on the evils of human trafficking and what you can do to help stop this global and local problem.
Johnson encourages people to download an app for their smartphones before the workshop.
He tells us what they do, and how they help.
Johnson says that while most people think of sex trafficking when they think of the human trafficking issue, that is certainly a part of it, but he says some of it is forced labor too.
Johnson says while they’ll try to keep the workshop family-friendly, games and a nursery will be available.
He says you can contact him at 712-541- 5453 if you have questions, or email him at cj@kadeshfoundation.org.
