Sheldon, Iowa — Christmas is this coming Saturday and to mark the occasion, Sheldon merchants will be observing Dress Up Week, with a different theme each day.
The week will begin with “Merry & Bright Monday”, when merchants will dress in red, green, gold and silver, as they sparkle and shine in their favorite holiday colors.
Tuesday has been designated as “Tree Skirt or Topper Tuesday”, with merchants sporting their favorite holiday hats, headbands, skirts or pants, decking themselves out from head to toe.
Wednesday will be “Winter Wonderland Wednesday”, when merchants and their employees will be dressed in their favorite winter white and/or snowflakes.
On Thursday this week, it will be “Plaid Tidings Thursday”, which will feature plaid shirts, pants, socks, ties, scarves, or a combination thereof.
The week wraps up on Friday, Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve all the festive holiday wear will come out and the festivities begin.
