George, Iowa — Iowa State Patrol Trooper Kevin Krull made an appearance at George-Little Rock High School on Friday, with a special piece of hardware.
The “seatbelt convincer” is a car seat mounted on a plate that is released in a controlled descent, similar to rolling down a hill, with a hard stop at the bottom to simulate impact. Krull says it gives people a good idea of why wearing a seatbelt is so necessary.
He tells us why he was at George-Little Rock specifically on Friday.
Trooper Krull says he’d be happy to bring the “Seatbelt Convincer” to your town or special event. He tells us how.
