Sheldon, Iowa — Donations to the 2017 Sheldon United Fund are still coming in ahead of pace.
The drive started October 2nd and continues through the rest of the year. The goal this year is $31,000.
The fund drive is now 14% finished. The funds are at about 36% of goal, at $11,254. Almost $20,000 has yet to be raised. To finish on goal, the drive now needs to average about $1800 per week through the rest of the year. In the last week, donors gave $4865.
Contributions to any or all of the organizations served by the Sheldon United Fund may be left at five locations in Sheldon: Citizen’s State Bank, Iowa State Bank, Northstar Community Credit Union, Northwestern Bank, and Peoples Bank, or you can also send them to PO Box 41, Sheldon, IA 51201. The United Fund will be assisting 26 different organizations this year. Organizers say they’d like to thank Sheldon and the surrounding communities for their support. They say it is greatly appreciated.
