United Fund Finishes Annual Campaign; Donors Surpass Goal

Sheldon, Iowa — As usual, despite languishing for donations just days before the deadline, the Sheldon United Fund has finished their campaign by not only meeting but surpassing the goal.

Last week at this time, the drive was over $3600 short of the $30,000 goal. The drive ended with $31,959, nearly $2000 over the goal. In the last few days of the drive, donors gave $5,648. The drive runs from October through December every year.

The United Fund will be assisting 23 different organizations in Sheldon and the surrounding communities this year. Cindy Runger with the United Fund says, “The board members thank the businesses and individuals of Sheldon and the surrounding communities for their generous contributions. We would not be able to support the many great organizations in our community without your assistance.”
