Orange City, Iowa — A vehicle reported stolen in Orange City over the weekend was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run accident in South Sioux City.
The Orange City Police Department reports that their officers responded to the area of Frankfort Avenue Southeast in Orange City on Sunday, December 27th to investigate the reports of several car burglaries. They report that none of the vehicles were locked.
Several items were reported stolen from the vehicles, including a CVA Black powder muzzleloader and a pair of Oakley sunglasses. Officers also recovered a stolen van from Sioux City that had been located at the Dover Alliance Church on the same night.
Also reported Sunday morning was a stolen vehicle which had been located on First Street Northeast in Orange City, and was later reported to have been involved in a hit and run accident in South Sioux City.
The Orange City Police Department continues their investigation into the incidents.
