Wheeler Welcomes Sioux County Contingent To Iowa Capitol

Des Moines, Iowa — On Wednesday, Republican State Representative Skyler Wheeler, of Orange City, welcomed several of his constituents to the Iowa House.

According to a news release, Wheeler welcomed several cattlemen from Sioux County and their families to the Iowa House of Representatives. Those included Brad and Kathy Kooima, Evan Vermeer, Dave Olsen, John Tiedeman, and Craig, Hayley, Merritt and McCoy Moss.  Wheeler and the group reportedly discussed funding for the Iowa State Veterinary Diagnostics Lab, as well as ensuring public land purchases aren’t being used to increase costs on cattlemen. Rep. Wheeler says Sioux County is incredibly fortunate to have so many hardworking men and women in the cattle industry. He says the state has a duty to ensure legislators are listening to their concerns and doing all they can to assist cattle producers.
