Where Can You Find Fireworks Displays? Look Here.

Northwest Iowa — It’s almost time to celebrate the nation’s independence. The United States is 246 years old this year, and festivities are getting underway. One of the ways we celebrate is with fireworks.

Several towns have fireworks displays for Independence Day. We have confirmed the schedules, and here’s what we’ve found.

Of course, right here in Sheldon, there are fireworks tonight (Friday, July 1st) as part of the Village Northwest Unlimited celebration. Another town with fireworks tonight is Lake Park.

Fireworks are planned for Saturday night, July 2nd in the communities of George, Melvin, and Arnolds Park.

There will be fireworks over Big Spirit Lake on Sunday night, as well as the first of two nights of fireworks in Worthington, Minnesota.

Several communities are ending the 3-day weekend with fireworks on the evening of Independence Day, Monday, July 4th. The ones we found are Inwood, Sioux Center, Okoboji (over West Lake), and Le Mars. And both Worthington and Luverne, Minnesota will also have fireworks on the night of the fourth.

If you are celebrating with your own fireworks, use extreme caution, follow any local ordinances, and remember to take it easy so as not to trigger any neighbors who might have PTSD.
