World Pork Expo Opens Wednesday

Northwest Iowa — Pork producers from our area will join 20-thousand of their closest friends in Des Moines, beginning Wednesday, for the World Pork Expo at the Iowa State Fairgrounds in Des Moines.

Doug Fricke is a spokesperson for the sponsoring National Pork Producers Council, and he says the trade show portion of the 30th annual event has expanded into two buildings, as well as the outdoors.

The show attracts pork industry officials from all over the U-S and 40 other countries.

Some 500 companies from around the world will be on-site, displaying products and services at booths, outdoor exhibits and in hospitality tents. The expo runs Wednesday through Friday. Learn more at: www.worldpork.org
