It’s National Frozen Custard Day!
Frozen custard is a delicious dessert, similar to ice cream, but with a richer, denser texture due to the addition of egg yolks. It must contain at least 10 percent milkfat and 1.4 percent egg yolk solids by weight to be labled as frozen custard. The lower air content and colder serving temperature also contribute to its unique, creamy consistency.
