The boiling point of blood is approximately the same as that of water – 212° Fahrenheit. That is only part of the equation, however, and doesn’t take into account air pressure variations. The average temperature on Mars is 81 degrees below zero. Given the extremely low air pressure on Mars, if it were not for a space suit, an astronaut’s blood would actually boil, even at nearly a full 300 degrees below the temperature that it would boil at sea level here on Earth.
