A very nice tame momma cat and her four tame, weaned and healthy kittens. Someone dumped the poor things off at the Boyden sandpit on Friday. I think they would make nice barn cats & would probably stay around pretty well since they are so tame. I’d be grateful if you or someone you know could help me find a home for them. Lost and Found:
Lost: Dog named Jax. We live about 10 minutes out from Sheldon going towards Archer on 360th Street (Located Zoet/Burns property! )!
He doesn’t like loud noises, but he is the absolute sweetest boy. If anyone sees him he has a small white patch on his chest between his two front legs and has a lump in the chest area. He is fairly active, very friendly, very sweet, has a colorful collar on him. (Its a breakable collar incase he gets stuck somewhere).
This isn’t like him to just run away. Pretty friendly with other dogs, unless they go after him first. He has been attacked before. He is seven-years-old, grey in the face and on his paws. He is also updated on all of his shots, including rabies.
Could be around Sheldon, Archer, Sanborn and possibly Primghar, depending on how far he ran away. 712-324-1250 if/when you find him is the number to call.

The state fair of Texas is underway and it’s known for a lot of things – including food.
After months of prep and competition, the annual Big Tex Choice Awards were handed out last month and fair-goers will be able to enjoy the winning foods. Here are a few of them.
- Burger Chop Tater Tacos. These are a chopped burger patty with sauteed onions, jalapenos and melted cheeses. It is served over cheddar tater tots, formed into a taco shell and finished with buffalo buttermilk ranch coleslaw, garlic parmesean buffalo sauce and additional tots.
- Golden Ranch Melt. A grilled tortilla with a signature seasoned butter finish, packed with chicken pastor, fire-roasted peppers, carmelized onions, chipotle mayonnaise, a three-cheese blend, crispy potato strings, and a smoky chipotle crema drizzle.
- Nacho Wings. Crispy chicken wings tossed in taco seasoning that are smothered in nacho cheese, cilatro, green onions, cotija cheese, tomatoes, pickled red onions and jalapenos over a bed of hot fries with ranch drizzle.
