Worthington, MN – A two-vehicle crash Friday, Sept. 13th, on Interstate 90 near Worthington, MN, claimed a life of a Worthington women.
The Minnesota State Patrol says 75-year-old Christie Eichner of Worthington, MN, was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox eastbound at about 1:00 p.m. and had stopped on the freeway. Troopers add that another eastbound vehicle, a 2023 Dodge Ram driven by 45-year-old Elly Jo Wagner of Redfield, South Dakota, collided with the Equinox.
Eichner was taken to the Worthington, MN, hospital where she was pronounced dead. No injuries were reported to Wagner and the two children in her vehicle, but the Minnesota State Patrol noted Eichner was not wearing a seatbelt.
