Ag labor reform is stalled in Senate

IARN — Labor and the workforce are hot topics in the economy these days. For agriculture, it is just another day as we continue to call on lawmakers to pursue labor reforms. Political Candidates come and go while promising changes to these issues, but if you have noticed, nothing has really changed.

The House passed the Farm Workforce Modernization Act, but the Senate is just letting it sit in its inbox. House Western Caucus Chair Congressman Dan Newhouse says that while there is support, the Senate has no sense of urgency.
