IARN — The warm and dry weather pattern known as La Niña has more than worn-out its welcome in the “I-states” and the plains states. It feels like it has been on a constant repeat for well over a year. As we get set for what is expected to be another drought, we are also learning that the weather pattern can vary greatly in just a short distance.

Dr. Jamie Patton is a soil scientist at the University of Wisconsin. She talks about how La Niña will not have a huge impact on the great lakes states, and won’t cause any drastic differences in their growing season.
