The race will be a huge boon for the local economies, as it could generate around $100 million in economic impact. But what will this race mean for Iowa’s farmers? Iowa Corn Growers Association President Jolene Riessen said that, since NASCAR drivers use ethanol in their vehicles, next year’s race will be a huge platform for Iowa’s ethanol industry.
