IARN — Animal health is a big issue for all livestock producers. Each animal comes with their own set of issues that they face. Poultry is currently dealing with HPAI, and hogs are looking at PRRS & staving off African Swine Fever. Cattle have their issues as well, including parasites. These can affect beef and dairy cattle alike. While many beef producers deworm in the fall when they get animals into the feedlots, dairy producers have to make sure they set aside time to get it done with their herd, because dairy cattle to rotate every year like beef cattle.
