IARN — The team at Case IH recently introduced the new Patriot 50 series sprayers to its self-propelled application equipment lineup.
Mark Burns, application equipment marketing manager at Case IH, says the new Patriot sprayer models help solve the challenges currently facing producers and ag retailers.
“That really revolves around two facets, one being timeliness of application, when is the right moment to actually go out and treat that pest, and the other one is a quality application. When we’re out there doing those applications, make sure that we’re doing the best job possible. And for almost three decades now, those sprayer owners have really trusted the Patriot sprayer, its configuration, which is cab forward-rear engine to provide not only optimum field access, but minimal compaction issues, as well as the technology that we install on the machine or that is optional equipment. We’re looking at things like maintaining optimum boom height, a comfortable operator environment, a smooth ride so that while they’re in there for those long days of spring that they can be as productive as possible.”
Burns says that when designing the Patriot 50 series sprayer, Case IH engineers didn’t skimp on any details.
“One, a brand-new suspension. We’re using a four-bar linkage that is also equipped with an airbag, as well as tuned shock absorbers for an improved, unmatched ride quality. We’ve got several improvements from a serviceability and maintenance perspective. We’ve added a one stop nozzle wash station on the back of the machine, so we’ve provided a water outlet as well as an air nozzle for them to not only clean spray tips, but also some small parts. Improvements to the lighting package. The base unit now comes with all LED lights. We’ve added the deluxe light package for even more visibility in those low light or late-night spray applications, as well as some spray pattern lights, blue lens lights that hang below the structure of the boom that illuminate not only to boom and spray tips but also the pattern that comes out of them.”
