Meteorologist Predicts Extended Fall

Iowa — (IABRN) — Private forecasts for the 2019 corn and soybean crops are coming out this week with corn yields at 167 to 168 bushels and soybeans at 46 bushels, on a national average.

All of that depends on the weather between now and the first hard frost. Millions of acres of soybeans were planted late, and are at risk no matter when the first frost comes.

Bryce Anderson, chief meteorologist for DTN, spoke to his view of the months ahead.
