IARN — Well, it is that time of year when folks all over the state and the Midwest go out and search for the elusive little fungus, we all know as the morel mushroom. I had the chance to join one Iowa family earlier this week to find out what is so special about those little mushrooms.
I had the chance to go out mushroom hunting with Edie and Jess Lozinski and their children. They took me out to what they consider to be their hot spot for getting those morel mushrooms. And the first thing I had to ask was what makes this adventure so appealing for everybody to go out and go crazy over these mushrooms every spring.
