Versova donates 9,000 dozen eggs to Food Bank of Iowa

IARN — Egg farmers across America are teaming up to feed families ahead of spring celebrations as part of a nationwide initiative led by the American Egg Board called Fighting Hunger by the Dozens. Versova is one of more than 20 farms participating in the initiative, which will provide more than 5.5 million eggs to food insecure individuals and families. Yesterday, Versova made a local donation of 108,000 eggs to the Food Bank of Iowa. Ross Dean, senior vice president of Versova and member of the Food Bank of Iowa’s board of directors, said similar donations will be taking place across the country.
