Alton, Iowa — An Alton woman was taken to a hospital after an accident early on Monday morning, January 8th.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office reports that shortly after 5:20 a.m., 25-year-old Tara Van Otterloo of Alton was driving a 2022 Jeep Wrangler eastbound on 460th Street, two miles east of Alton, when she lost control of the vehicle, which entered the north ditch and came to rest in a field.
The Alton Ambulance took Van Otterloo to Orange City Area Health.
The Jeep sustained approximately $2,000 in damage.
The sheriff’s office reports that the Orange City Police Department, Orange City Fire Department, Alton Fire Department, and Alton Ambulance Squad assisted with the response to the accident.
