Authorities Seek Driver Of Pickup That Rear-Ended Cement Truck Near Ireton

Ireton, Iowa — The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office investigated a motor vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Highway 10 and Eagle Avenue, one mile north of Ireton on Friday afternoon.

Authorities say 19-year-old Miguel Mario of Sioux Center was driving a 2013 Kenworth cement truck southbound on Eagle Avenue. The report says he stopped for the stop sign at Highway 10. And it says a black Ford F-150 pickup, was also traveling southbound behind Mario, when it struck the rear of the cement truck. After the collision, the pickup’s driver did not remain at the accident scene, but continued southbound on Eagle Avenue.

No injuries were reported.

Damage to the Kenworth was estimated at $500.
