Coats For Kids Accepting Donations Now

Sheldon, Iowa — It’s time for the annual Coats For Kids drive in Sheldon, and donations are being accepted now.

Pastor David Loveall from the Sheldon Ministerial Association tells us how Coats For Kids got started.

Of course, time doesn’t stand still, and Bubbles was purchased by Campus Cleaners of Spirit Lake in 2016.

Loveall says you can drop off your donations now at Love INC. He tells us what they’re looking for, specifically.

He says they don’t want stained, ripped, or overly worn coats. They will also take other outerwear and accessories. LOVE Inc is located on Highway 18 about a block west of Casey’s west location. The deadline to drop off coats is Monday, November 4th.

Pastor Loveall tells us people who need coats will be able to pick them up at one of two events at Living Water Community Church on Second Avenue or Old Highway 60, across the street west of Iowa State Bank. The dates to pick up coats and so forth will be October 9th and November 13th, in conjunction with the Mobile Food Bank distribution at Living Water.

Pastor Loveall made his comments recently on the KIWA Talk of the Town Program, which can be heard on weekday mornings at 8:30 on KIWA-FM 105.3.
