Sutherland, Iowa — With the weather getting colder, you may assume that things might be winding down at the Prairie Heritage Center and with the O’Brien County Conservation Board in general. But that would be an incorrect assumption.
We had a chance to catch up with O’Brien County Naturalist Lindsey Kleinhesselink, and she tells us about some things they’ve got going on.
She says that goes the rest of the month.
She tells us about an activity called “Winter Funderland.”
According to Kleinhesselink, they’ve got some new stuff coming up as well.
She says they’re also starting a conservation book club.
She says they also have a winter library series for families and senior citizens.
Kleinhesselink tells us a little later on, you can meet one of her feathered friends.
For more information on any of these, you can call the Prairie Heritage Center at 712-295-7200 or you can check out Prairie Heritage Center on Facebook.
Kleinhesselink made her comments this week on the KIWA Talk of the Town Program, which can be heard on weekday mornings at 8:30 on KIWA-FM 105.3. We also post a podcast of every Talk of The Town Program, and you can find those by clicking here.
