Sheldon, Iowa — In a little less than a week, getting around in part of Sheldon is going to be a little more difficult.
Sheldon Public Works Director Todd Uhl tells us more.
The low bid for the project was from Cory Juergens Construction, LLC of Estherville, who bid $55,424. Uhl says there will be a pretty substantial detour for up to three weeks.
According to a statement from Uhl’s office on Monday, they will be closing the intersection of 2nd Avenue and 7th Street on Monday, April 29th. He asks that while the intersection is closed, that people use the scheduled detour route and drive with caution.
Second Avenue is the old Highway 60 and part of the current Business Highway 60.
