Sioux Center, Iowa (Sioux County Radio) — Dordt University has announced a partnership with the Paul TenHaken Companies that will allow business executives participating in a yearlong leadership fellowship to earn graduate-level college credit.

Under the agreement, participants who complete the Tenfold Leader Fellowship may receive three elective credits through Dordt University’s Master of Business Administration program, along with a certificate of completion. Each group is limited to 10 executives and participation is by invitation only.

Paul TenHaken, who served eight years as mayor of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, said the partnership creates a bridge between practical leadership development and formal academic study. He said the arrangement gives participants an opportunity to apply their fellowship experience toward an MBA while encouraging continued professional growth.

TenHaken also said Dordt’s faith-based educational approach aligns with the leadership principles emphasized through the fellowship and could help participants view graduate education as a more attainable next step.

Dordt MBA Program Director Dr. Tim Klein said the partnership adds a unique leadership development component to the university’s graduate business program. Klein said TenHaken’s experience in business and public service complements traditional MBA coursework by helping participants explore how personal values and leadership principles can influence organizations.

TenHaken also pointed to his own connection with Dordt, saying his experience with the university gave him confidence in its academic quality and commitment to faith-based education.

The Tenfold Leader Fellowship focuses on leadership development, skill-building and mentoring relationships for business executives.
