Everly Man Airlifted Following Truck vs Car Collision

Fostoria, Iowa — An Everly man was seriously injured in a two-vehicle accident in Clay County.

According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident happened at approximately 8:45 Wednesday morning south of Fostoria. 43-year-old Timothy Curry of Everly was driving a compact car north on 230th Avenue, while 32-year-old Benjamin Thompson of Spencer was driving a pickup truck east on 300th Street. The trooper’s report says Curry failed to yield at the intersection and his car was struck by the truck.

Curry was transported by helicopter to Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls. Curry was wearing a seat belt. The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Spencer Ambulance, and the Spencer and Fostoria Fire Departments.
