Grassley discusses approval of off-road diesel in agricultural and trucking equipment

IARN – Today, Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds announced actions temporarily allowing farmers to use non-taxed, off-road diesel in agricultural and trucking equipment that support on-road harvest activities. The action will provide some federal and state fuel tax relief for farmers facing high diesel prices during harvest.

This follows yesterday’s announcement and signing of an executive order by President Trump which provides temporary diesel tax relief by expanding access to red-dyed (off-road) diesel fuel.
