Harris-Lake Park Voters Head To The Polls Tuesday (Sept. 10th)

Lake Park, Iowa — Voters in the Harris-Lake Park Community School District head to the polls Tuesday to consider designated uses of funds from a state sales tax for schools.

Superintendent Gary Richardson says voters need to reauthorize the intended use of those funds which are earmarked for capital improvements.

Richardson says the revenue would also help out with the district’s construction project.

HLP voters also Tuesday will vote on a district director’s seat. Kayla Updike was appointed to fill a vacancy earlier this summer. She is now officially running for the position.

Polls for Tuesday’s election will be open from 7:00 am until 8:00 pm. The polling site is the Lake Park Community Center.
