Spirit Lake, Iowa (KUOO) — A longtime administrator with the Spirit Lake Community School District is moving on. Terry Bruinsma has been hired as Superintendent at the West Lyon Community School District.
Bruinsma has been with the Spirit Lake Community Schools since 2003, including the past 14 years as Middle School Principal.
Bruinsma says he values very much the time he spent with the Spirit Lake schools.
Bruinsma says he and his family are excited as they move on to a new chapter.
Pending formal approval by the West Lyon School Board, Bruinsma will begin his new duties there effective this coming July 1st.
