(KIWA Staff Photo)Sheldon, Iowa (Sioux County Radio) — Northwest Iowa Community College is expanding its athletics program, with volleyball becoming a new competitive sport and additional offerings — including basketball — being considered for the future.
NCC President John Hartog recently discussed the expansion. He says the college is preparing upgrades to the Lifelong Learning & Recreation Center to support college-level competition.
Hartog also highlighted NCC’s Regional Centers, which allow high school students to take college-level courses closer to home, and how they can help students in their educational development.
Each Regional Center offers academic pathways, giving students early exposure to specific fields of study.
