Spirit Lake, Iowa – State Senator Dave Rowley of Spirit Lake announced this past Friday that he is now cancer free.
Senator Rowley announced in February that had been diagnosed with tonsil cancer. Senators gave Rowley a standing ovation after he said treatments had been successful.
State Senator Jack Whitver has been undergoing treatment for a brain tumor since mid-2024 and he was present for Friday’s special session on the steel mill.
State Senator Caitlin Grey was treated for stage one uterine cancer at the beginning of the year, then announced in late February that treatment had been successful and she was cancer free.
