Sheldon Community Schools Getting Ready For 2024-25 School Year

Sheldon, Iowa — Back to school time will be upon us very soon. And lots of things are going on in the area.

We talked to Sheldon Community Schools Superintendent Cory Myer recently and he told us school starts at the end of next week.

He says staff is already in the building.

The high school expansion and remodeling project is officially underway after a recent groundbreaking ceremony.

Myer says it’s the first major renovation to the building.

He says the work won’t be done until probably 2026.

For more information, you can visit the school’s website at https://www.sheldonschools.com.

Myer made his comments on the KIWA-FM Talk of the Town program, which can be heard every weekday at 8:30 a.m.
