Sioux Center, Iowa (Sioux County Radio) — Sioux Center High School and the Sioux Center Athletic Booster Club are once again warning local businesses about a company falsely claiming to solicit sponsorships on behalf of the school.
Emails sent to “Warrior Supporters” and past Booster Club supporters this week alerted the community that a company identifying itself as Elite Sports Promos out of Texas has been contacting area businesses requesting sponsorship support for Sioux Center High School.
School officials say they are not affiliated with the company and stated that in a message to supporters.
Officials emphasized that legitimate sponsorship requests will only come directly from the Sioux Center Athletic Booster Club.
In a separate reminder, Booster Club leadership stated that all official requests will come directly from Eric Vande Hoef or Tyler Reichle.
This is not the first time the warning has been issued. The initial alert was sent in February of 2025, followed by another notice in November. The Booster Club reissued the reminder again this week after learning businesses were once again being contacted.
Supporters are encouraged to remain vigilant and verify any sponsorship communication that does not come directly from Sioux Center High School or the Athletic Booster Club.
Officials closed their most recent message with a reminder to stay diligent.
We’ve also heard reports that a similar scam is occurring in Sheldon. Other schools and communities in the area have reported similar activity as well.
