Hudson, SD Woman Taken To Hospital, Jail After Rolling Her Vehicle Near Ireton

Ireton, Iowa — A Hudson, South Dakota woman was taken to a hospital and then to jail after an accident on Saturday morning, April 27th.

According to the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office, a few minutes before 6:30 a.m., 59-year-old Karla Bohle of Hudson was driving a 2013 Jeep Wrangler northbound on Eagle Avenue, three miles north of Ireton, when she lost control of the vehicle, which entered the east ditch and rolled.

The Ireton Ambulance took her to Hawarden Regional Healthcare.

The Jeep sustained about $8,000 in damage.

The deputy suspected Bohle was under the influence of alcohol. So, after she was discharged from medical treatment, Bohle was transported to the Sioux County Jail where she was charged with second-offense operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle.

The sheriff’s office tells us that the Ireton Fire Department and Ireton EMS assisted them with the response to the accident.
