Stretch of US Hwy 18 Between Hartley and O’Brien-Clay County Line to Close Next Week for Resurfacing

Hartley, Iowa (KUOO) — A stretch of Highway 18 between Hartley and the O’Brien-Clay county line will be closed to traffic starting next week.

The Iowa DOT’s Cherokee construction office says the closure begins Wednesday, September 16th, and is scheduled to continue through Thursday, October 1st, weather permitting.

The highway will be closed in both directions for sealing and resurfacing work. Drivers will need to follow a marked detour using:

  • O’Brien County Road M-12
  • County Road B-20
  • County Road M-22
