(Aaron Prewitt of Midwest Honor Flight - KIWA Staff Photo)Sheldon, Iowa — With Veterans Day coming up on Wednesday, if you’d like a chance to support our veterans, you can do that by watching some entertaining piano playing next Saturday night in Sheldon.
Aaron Prewitt of Midwest Honor Flight joined us a while back for our Talk of the Town program, and he tells us about his organization.
Called “Night For The Honor Flight,” the night will start with a steak meal grilled by the O’Brien County Cattlemen and served by the Sheldon Fire Company, but unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on how you’re looking at it), the meal part is sold out. However, you can still see the entertainment portion of the evening, which will start at about 8:00 p.m., for a free-will offering.
Midwest Deuling Pianos will provide the entertainment. They tell us a dueling piano show features two or more performers who build the entire performance around audience song requests rather than a fixed set list. Blending live music, comedy, and sing-alongs, the interactive show adapts in real time to the energy of the room.
Again, that’s this coming Saturday night, November 14th, at 5:00 p.m. if you have dinner tickets, and at 8:00 p.m. if you want to give a free-will donation to watch the piano part of the evening only.
